West Ham announce six departures from the club

West Ham have recently announced that Shelina Zadorsky, Verena Hanshaw, Camila Sáez, Soraya Walsh, Emily Taylor-Brown and Estelle Cascarino are all leaving the club upon the expiration of their contracts. 

Shelina Zadorsky has been at the club for the last two-and-a-half seasons after joining on a loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur in 2024 and then made a permanent move to join the Hammers. During her time at the club she has made 50 appearances across all competitions, 21 of them being in the WSL in her first season at the club. She was also appointed the role of vice-captain at the start of the 25/26 season. Zadorsky won the Clubs Players Project Award recently for her support to the foundation.

Verena Hanshaw signed for the Hammers at the beginning of last year (January 2025) from AS Roma and since then she has had 33 appearances across all competitions for the club. In the 24/25 she helped the Hammers enjoy a successful season as she contributed 3 assists in 12 games in the WSL, and she even managed to score during her time at the club.

Camila Sáez signed for West Ham 2 years ago in the summer transfer window, the defender has been on loan to WSL 2 side Bristol City for the 25/26 season, and helping Bristol City finish 4th in WSL 2. 

Soraya Walsh has only made one appearance for the club in the Subway Women's League Cup against Southampton since joining the club in July 2024, this was Walsh’s first Professional contract. During her time at West Ham she has had three loans at Billericay Town, Watford and Hashtag United.

19-year-old Emily Taylor-Brown has made two appearances for the women's first team, both of them being in the Subway Cup. The forward joined the club's professional game academy last summer, and spent half of last season at AFC Wimbledon on an academy development registration deal. 

Estelle Cascarino returns to Juventus after being on loan since January, during this loan period she has made 12 appearances across all competitions.
