Brazil stun European Champions, England in a 2-1 victory

Brazil started the brighter of the two sides, with the ball played through to Zaneratto, who fired it into the back of the net. Brazil then doubled their lead in the 18th minute when Dudinha's strike found the goal.
In the 21st minute, Brazil captain, Angelina saw red after clipping Ella Toone as she raced onto a through ball.
England's best chance came in the 24th minute when Alex Greenwood's free-kick struck the crossbar. Ella Toone then had an effort that went just wide of the post.
There was a moment of controversy when Beth Mead twisted and turned in the area before going down, but the referee waved away England's appeals for a penalty.
In the 42nd minute, Ludmila dragged a shot wide of the the post, though the offside flag was already up.
Just before half-time, Keira Walsh came close with a volley that lifted just over the crossbar.
In the 50th minute, England were awarded a penalty when Alessia Russo flicked the ball back for Beth Mead, who took a touch before being bundled over by Zaneratto. Georgia Stanway stepped up to take the spot kick and calmly fired it into the back of the net.
Aggie Beever-Jones made an immediate impact from the bench, seeing her shot blocked in the 65th minute.
England almost drew level four minutes later when Mead played a clever pass through to Russo, but she couldn't find her target. Stanway came closest to an equaliser in the 83rd minute, when her powerful effort struck the crossbar.
England dominated the second half, but couldn't find a second goal and the match ended 2-1 to Brazil.
"What was missing, I think, is the final part. Of course, they were tough in defending. They have some very physical players. We were sometimes a bit unlucky, but also sometimes in decision-making, we could do better." - said Sarina Wiegman.

Brazil edged out England in a closely contested match that showcased quality from both sides. Despite England's late pressure, they couldn't find an equaliser, and the game ended 2-1 in Brazil's favour. The result gives Brazil a confidence boost, while England will take positives from their second-half performance. With both teams still fine-tuning ahead of future fixtures, there's plenty more to come from each side.
