The match began with a bang. In the third minute, France's Melvine Malard took advantage of a precise cross from Selma Bacha to score an early goal. The stadium erupted in cheers, but the DFB team responded: In the twelfth minute, Nicole Anyomi scored a spectacular goal with a strong ball from the back to equalise.

The game developed into a dastardly-paced back-and-forth exchange, characterised by high tempo, aggressive pressing and intense duels.

Even though France were clearly the stronger team in the first half, the German team came back onto the pitch after the break with renewed confidence. Klara Bühl scored the breakthrough in the 50th minute when she broke through on the left and finished from a tight angle. The goal seemed to give the team a real boost, as they started to play with more control, better coordination and improved teamwork.

Anyomi scored another goal, but it was disallowed for offside. The final minutes were marked by intensity and passion. France pushed hard for the equaliser, while Germany sat deep and fought for every ball. In the 89th minute, Clara Matéo made it 2–2, heading in a cross from Kadidiatou Diani.

The seven minutes of added time turned the atmosphere in the stadium into an emotional frenzy. Both teams were playing at their limits, with the crowd loudly cheering them on. Despite the pressure from France, Germany kept their calm, defended and held on to the result.

German national coach Christian Wück described the match as a duel between two evenly matched teams, in which his side did many things right but needed to play more cleverly in certain phases of the game. He also pointed out that there was still room for improvement in passing and in dealing with pressure situations. Wück emphasised that the growing self-confidence and belief in their own strength had been decisive factors for success. Looking ahead to the upcoming final against Spain, the coach expects a difficult but promising encounter, with the team determined to make the most of it.

Nicole Anyomi also spoke of an extremely intense game in which the team gave their all from the first to the last minute. Her goal to equalise was the result of pure instinct and determination – something that shows the fighting spirit of the whole team.
