Japanese midfielder Hinata Miyazawa has extended her stay at Old Trafford until the summer of 2029.

Miyazawa has been a key part of the Reds since she signed for Manchester United in 2023. She made her first appearance for Skinner and his side on October 2023 against Aston Villa, soon followed by her first goal for United against Bristol City. The Manchester side’s number 20 had tallied 67 appearances and scoring 3 goals in her spell so far, as well as competing in two FA Cup finals, one being successful.
The Japanese international spoke to Manchester United after signing her new contract: “I am really enjoying playing football at Manchester United and I am really happy to be continuing my journey here.”
Director of Women’s Football, Matt Johnson, spoke highly of Miyazawa: “We are really excited to have Hinata extend her time at Manchester United. She has become a critical component to the way we play. Her footballing intelligence and technical ability enables her and the team to control and dictate play from central areas.”
