Japanese Liverpool midfielder Fuka Nagano has extended her contract with the reds

A few days ago, @liverpoolfcw posted to their Instagram stating “Our 2025/26 adidas football home and away kits have been revealed… and Fuka Nagano will wear both of them, having put pen-to-paper on a new contract with the reds.”

Nagano joined Liverpool in January 2023 from North Carolina Courage, she soon became a key player on the starting line-up. Fuka scored her first goal for the club on the 14th March 2025 when the reds faced Man Utd at Anfield Stadium.

 As her contract started getting closer and closer to expiry this summer, the beginning of August is when the club announced that she’s staying!

Nagano’s gone on to make 64 appearances for the club in total, with 26 of those coming just last season. She’s a key player for Liverpool FC Women and she’ll be helping to strengthen the squad again for the 2025/26 season (upcoming).
