Manchester United play a 4 - 1 victory over Leicester City in their opening game

Manchester United Lioness star, Ella Toone scored the opener for the Red Devils before a goal was scored by Elisabeth Terland before half time.

Second half saw the Red Devils taking more shorts to score goals but didn’t quite reach the back of the net. Melvine Malard managed to change that around by scoring 2 more goals during second half making it 4-0  in the pouring rain at Leigh sports village.

Manchester United deadline summer signing Jess park made her debut for Manchester United in the 57^th minute replacing Celin Bizet in the second half. Jess Park played 33 minutes during this game and played a crucial role in the midfield.

First Half:

Manchester United was challenging Leicester City during the first half making the score 2-0 before half time and having many shots on target.

Second Half:

Saw Manchester United fight through the rain causing Leicester City to not be able to score but had many shots with an amazing save from Phallon Tullis-Joyce who won golden Glove last season in the WSL in her first season of playing.

Elisabeth Terland scored a goal today in the Manchester United game by now, having scored 5 goals in 3 games for the Red Devils.

Ella Toone received Player of the Match during today’s game after scoring her first goal of the season with an assist by playing a full 90 minutes.
