The Lionesses will make their way to Belgium on for the second leg of the UEFA Women’s Nations league on Tuesday.

On Friday, the Lionesses beat Belgium 5-0 at Ashton Gate stadium with first senior goals for both Kiera Walsh and Aggie Beever-Jones. Belgium came out with four yellow cards and ten fouls as well as 32% possession. On top of that, England currently sits at the top of the group with Belgium staying at the
bottom, so this upcoming match will be a definite watch for all England fans.
Since 2022, England have played against Belgium five times with England picking up four wins and Belgium gaining one.
Belgium have not won any games so far, but managed to score two goals against Spain on Matchday One. Whereas England won against both Spain and Belgium and also drew against Portugal. However, they are a strong attacking team and continue to push through in order to secure a win. Belgium are playing on home soil which could potentially aid them towards a win.
Two players to look out for are Jess Park and Aggie Beever-Jones who were both substitutions on Friday’s match. These two players both ended up scoring not long after being subbed on and are often
named in the starting XI for both their clubs and country with an increasing number of goals.
Unfortunately there have been quite a few withdrawals from the England squad due to injury. On Sunday, Alessia Russo returned to Arsenal after sustaining an ankle injury with Michelle Agyemang replacing her and receiving her first senior call-up. As well as Lauren James’ hamstring injury just before half time on Friday’s match who has now returned to Chelsea. England are also missing some key players including Alex Greenwood, Lauren Hemp & Georgia Stanway who have all played in the squad for many years.
