How have the sides got on this season?
Celtic have had a good start to the season, beating the most likely side to be relegated this season, Dundee United in an astonishing 9 - 0 win, followed by a thrilling 1 - 0 win V Glasgow City. This year Sadiku's girls haven't has the start to they year they would have hoped, as last time the Ghirls In Green have won a game was the 7th February, in a 8 - 0 thrashing V Dundee United. Celtic currently sit fifth in the table, and anything apart from a win could have Elena Sadiku's job on thin ice, and the titles hopes are also very thin.
Rangers have had an exceptional season, after losing out on the league on the last day of the season V Celtic, Rangers and Jo Potter are desperate to bring the title back to Ibrox for the second time in their history. The Gers have been very successful in the Old Firm Derby's over the past two seasons, they fell short to Celtic once in the past two years, with a 2 - 1 win for the Hoops on St Patricks Day one year ago, it remains Rangers' only defeat against the Hoops to this day since their famous win.
Last time out in this fixture:
The last time the two Glasgow sides met were in January in the SWPL Cup Semi-Final, which saw Rangers to go on to bring the cup home. Hardy strikes first just minutes after the break and Wilkinson soon made Rangers dream with another one. Emma Lawton made Celtic's dreams alive but the Hoops failed to score again.
