Match Preview: Leicester City V Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace face Leicester City on Sunday 3rd May at VBS Stadium with the game kicking off at 14:00. Where Leicester will be hopping to claim their record fifth win in the Barclays Women's Super League. While relegated Crystal Palace will be hoping for a better score line.

In the reverse fixture, Crystal Palace beat the Foxes 2-0 with Annabel Blanchard scoring twice for the visiting team. Will they do the double over the foxes this season?

Katie Stengel has been one of the standout players for Palace this season having four goals and four assists in 18 matches. While having recently scored Palace’s only goal in the hammering against West Ham, Lexi Potter has been an eye-catching youngster this season with playing over 1000 minutes and having 879 touches and 530 successful passes the 18-year-old is really getting use to this league.

Now on to Leicester, Janice Cayman and Yuka Momiki have been two standout players for the Foxes. They have been controlling the midfield very well for the foxes with them both having 3 goals in this Women’s Super League Campaign. Not only have they controlled the midfield for the Foxes they have also had the space to drive the team forward to create chances. Another standout player for the foxes has been CJ Bott not only is she fantastically defensively having won 36 tackles with lots of interceptions. She also had the best dribble success rate completing 15 of the 22 she has attempted CJ Bott: The Dribble Queen.

There is also some sibling rivalry in tomorrow's match the Swaby sisters are both central defenders and they will be looking forward to facing each-other. They have also both played together for the Jamaican National team-where they even got to play in the world cup together.
