Leicester City held Tottenham Hotspur to a one-all draw on Matchday 18 of the Women's Super League at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City Women remain unbeaten at home in 2025. This takes them to 16 points, and seven points clear of bottom place Crystal Palace. As Tottenham Hotspur's five game losing streak comes to an end with a draw against Leicester meaning Tottenham remain ninth with 18 points.
There were two changes for Amandine Miquel's side that beat Brighton & Hove Albion 3-2 last weekend with Saori Takarda and Chantelle Swaby dropping to the bench to make way for Yuka Momiki and the return of CJ Bott marking her 18th appearance of the season. As there was only one change for Robert Vilahamn's team that lost to West Ham 2-0 last weekend, with Charlotte Grant dropping to the bench to make space for Jessica Naz.
Spurs dominating proceedings at the King Power Stadium with having the best chance of the first half that fell to Martha Thomas, who found herself one on one with Janina Leitzig, who brought out quick sharp reactions to save the shot. Olivia Holt, Ella Morris and Jessica Naz went close for the visitors before the break.
CJ bott finds herself with a booking in the 39th minute which takes her to her fourth yellow card of the season, this was a result of a clumsy challenge that awarded Tottenham a free kick which came to nothing. However, CJ made a solid impact in defence and making crucial tackles in the match. Before the referee blew the whistle for a goalless first half.
Leicester then break the deadlock just ten minutes from the restart with Hannah Cain’s shot that was a well saved shot by Kop but was then turned in by Josefine Rybrink meaning the host were not only in front in the 55th minute but found a way through Tottenham's defence. It was also Leicester fourth home goal in the space of seven days. However, it didn't take the visitors long to respond. In fact, it only took them seven minutes to get back. It was outstanding play with a cut-back from Naz that spence netted.
Before this match Tottenham had scored just once in five league matches while conceding eleven in the process. They have been reliant on Bethany England scoring the goals but she's recently suffered a quad injury.
Both sides having chances in the reaming half hour. But Tottenham had the better chances out of the two sides, Sophie Howard awarded Spurs a freekick in the 68th which Summanen took. Her freekick then came crashing off the bar with Ayane unable to follow up the rebound. Ahtinen saw her set-piece clip the wrong side of the post causing Leicester to panic and Leitzig repeatedly having to make late saves to keep her team in the game and more importantly keep the score at one all.
Spurs came the closest to the winner, but Leitzig made a crucial and massive saved at the end to see the game out at one-all meaning the unbeaten streak at home continues. However, Leicester will be hoping for a better performance against Arsenal on Tuesday 15th April as the energy and aggression wasn’t there.
Spurs will be looking to pick up more points against Aston Villa after the international break.
Leicester City's next home fixture is against Manchester City on 27th April with a 3pm kick off.
