Yesterday, Brighton signed Rosa Kafaji from Arsenal. The Swedish forward is on a season-long loan at Brighton from Arsenal.
On 13th August 2024, Kafaji signed a long-term deal with Women’s Super League side Arsenal. She netted her first goal for the club on 20th October, helping secure a 2–0 win away at West Ham. Rosa made 19 appearances for Arsenal across all competitions with Arsenal, and may hope to make more wearing white and blue.
On international side, Kafaji was called up for the first time for Sweden in February 2021. She then later made her debut on 31st October 2021 where she was subbed on in a game against Italy.
Brighton boss Dario Vidosic said, “We’re excited to welcome Rosa to the squad for the season ahead.” Off the back of a fifth-place finish in 24/25, Albion will be looking to climb even higher next season.
Rosa’s arrival adds creativity and composure to the team, giving Vidosic another weapon as the team targets to place higher in the WSL. Her ability to control the tempo and pick out decisive passes could prove crucial in tight games next season.
As Brighton gears up for the 2025/26 season, the real test will be maintaining momentum and turning potential into consistent results. With fresh faces and rising confidence such as Rosa, the squad’s journey is about more than just league position too, it’s about building a lasting identity that can compete at the highest level.
