Arsenal vs Chelsea takes place on Saturday 8th November at 12:00pm at the Emirates, the home of both Arsenal men and women.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea have competed in the WSL since its first season in 2011, meaning they have faced each other numerous times. In the league, they have gone head-to-head 28 times, with Chelsea winning 12, Arsenal winning 10, and 6 matches ending in a draw. In their most recent encounters during the 2024/25 season, Chelsea took all six points, winning 4‑1 at the Emirates and 3‑1 at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea currently sit top of the WSL table after an unbeaten start to the season, recording 6 wins and 1 draw in their opening seven matches; Manchester United being the only team to prevent them from claiming all three points in every single match. So far this season, Chelsea have scored 14 goals and conceded just 3, with goalkeeper Hannah Hampton and the defensive backline keeping four clean sheets.
Meanwhile Arsenal are currently 5th in the WSL table, having won 4 of their opening matches, drawn 2 against Manchester United and Aston Villa, and lost 1 against Manchester City. So far this season, Arsenal have scored 14 goals and conceded 6, keeping two clean sheets: one in their 1-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion and the other in their 0‑0 draw against Manchester United.
There have been notable squad changes for both sides since their last meeting back in March, strengthening already impressive squads. Chelsea signed Australian right-back Ellie Carpenter from Lyon, who has already made an excellent impact to the team, and American forward Alyssa Thompson from Angel City FC, a record-breaking signing at the time. Arsenal brought in Canadian forward Olivia Smith from Liverpool, the PFA Young Player of the Year 2024/25, another record-breaking signing at the time, and permanently signed English forward Chloe Kelly, following her loan spell from Manchester City at the back end of last season.
More than 50,000 tickets have already been sold for this match as we expect it to be another promising turnout at the Emirates. With Chelsea looking to stay unbeaten and Arsenal desperate to close the gap at the top, fans can expect an exciting and competitive match that could go either way.
