Goodwin has signed a new deal with newly promoted side, London City Lionesses, until the summer of 2028.

Isobel Goodwin helped London City Lionesses to promotion in the 2024/25 season, securing one goal in the last day of the season to secure the title.
Goodwin joined the club in September 2024, from Sheffield United, where she was a key player to their set-up.
When Goodwin made the move to the first independent women’s football club in London, she scored a total of 16 goals, and topping the league’s scoring charts.
Last season, in the Women’s Championship – now called WSL2 – Goodwin was named Women’s Championship Player of the Season. As well as having a standout season, Goodwin earned her call-up to the England U23’s squad. Her contributions to the squad were vital, as she scored three goals in four matches for the England National Team.
Since joining the Women’s Super League, Goodwin has made her statement, as one of the league’s top strikers. Goodwin has started in all of London City Lionesses fixtures to date, playing 90 minutes consecutively.
On signing a new contract with London City Lionesses, “I feel like this is a place that I can call home. I’m really enjoying my time here and I’m absolutely delighted to sign a new contract,” Isobel said.
Isobel Goodwin has more aspirations in the top flight of female football, “Hopefully scoring as many goals as I can are my immediate aims. I just want to help the team win games to give us the best chance of being successful.”
Isobel Goodwin is a force to be reckoned with in the WSL, and with the remainder of the season to be played, she will continue to shine for London City Lionesses, in hopes to earn her first Senior Call Up to England.
