Former Arsenal and Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Nobbs is continuing to shine in WSL 2.

Jordan Nobbs began her career at Sunderland before leaving in 2010 to play for Arsenal. Jordan had a great career at Arsenal and made 270 appearances for the club, making her the WSL all time record appearance holder, she also scored 81 goals and won 12 domestic trophies including 3 WSL titles and 4 FA cups (which one of them she captained Arsenal to win) . She also received her first England call up to England's national team whilst she was at Arsenal, just 2 years after she signed for the club, she has scored 8 times for the lionesses and scored in the Euro 2017 defeat of Scotland and in England’s 6-0 win over Russia which kicked off the Lionesses’ 2019 World Cup qualifying campaign. Jordan was a part of the lionesses squad that won silver at the 2023 World Cup and the third place finish in 2015 and in total has 71-caps for her national team.
After her successful spell at Arsenal, Nobbs moved to play at Aston Villa during 2023 for two years. At villa she scored a hat trick against Brighton in a 6-2 away win, she also scored the winning goal for Villa against Tottenham during the 23-24 season. At Villa Jordan began playing under the number 88 which she then changed to 8 which was the number she played under for Arsenal. At the end of the 24-25 season Jordan announced her departure from Villa.
Newcastle United signed Jordan in July 2025 after her playing in the WSL for 15 years. She moved to WSL 2 being the WSL all-time record appearance holder, so far this season for her new club she has started 7 WSL 2 games earning herself 573 minutes and 3 assists and then she has also played the full 90 minutes for both of Newcastle's league cup games, Nobbs is clearly one of Newcastle's key players and her experience in the WSL will help Newcastle in WSL 2. Their manager Becky Langley emphasises this and says that both her experience and winning history will be key assets to the team. In her podcast with Nikita Parris ( pitch to pod) she stated ‘Like, it literally feels like I’ve just made the best decision. I feel like I’ve just ticked every box now I'm at a club where you're just seeing the ambition, the push.. being home, like just, even around the accent again, its yeah, it just feels so right. It's like all them little things. Yeah, I've just really enjoyed it. It's nice to go to a club as well that you can see what they’re trying to do , you can see the vision and hopefully that gets there in time and I can be a part of that as well’. Jordan will continue to shine at Newcastle and help them get the results they need to hopefully move into the WSL two, currently they sit 4th in the table just 3 points behind Bristol City.
