Tomorrow, 29th November 2025, the England Lionesses are set to take on China PR at Wembley Stadium with kick off at 5:30PM GMT. It’s a friendly game, hoping to create anticipation and excitement for fans.

Sarina Wiegman, the Lioness manager, already crossed paths with Ante Milicic, the Steel Roses’ manager, once back in 2019 when Sarina’s Dutch side (Netherlands) beat Australia 3-0 at home. And when it comes to facing China, she clearly doesn’t mess around.

Alongside this, Sarina is also on the brink of a big milestone, hunting her 50th win as England boss. This’ll be her 73rd game in charge of the Lionesses, so the stage is set for a pretty iconic mark.

Freya Godfrey has earned her first senior England call-up this camp. The 20-year-old London City Lionesses forward made her debut for the WU23s last October and has progressed through the national setup from the under-14s all the way to the U23s. It’s a major step in her rise and will be hoping to make her debut tomorrow evening.

Also, Lauren Hemp and Grace Clinton are back from injury, and Sophie Baggaley, Anouk Denton, Grace Fisk, Taylor Hinds and Lucia Kendall all keep their spots after impressing in the October international break.

China will remain one of those teams you can never under estimate. They’re well-drilled, disciplined and genuinely committed to sticking to structure. They don’t panic under pressure and rarely give you cheap chances which means England will have to stay switched on from the first whistle.

What makes this matchup interesting is the mentality on both sides. It sets up a game where composure might matter just as much as creativity.

England head into this one knowing they’ll have to be sharp, but also knowing they’ve got enough quality to control the rhythm if they stay composed. China will bring structure, experience and a couple of players who understand the demands of English football, which should make the matchup more competitive than it looks on paper. It feels like the kind of game where whoever settles first sets the tone and from there it becomes about decision-making, patience and taking the moments that matter.
